Renew Energy Ltd has proposed to build a Waste to Energy (WtE) plant in Hokitika to incinerate 330,000 tonnes of construction waste per annum collected from around the South Island and transported to Westland District. Our objective is to prevent the importation and/or incineration of waste in the District." 

This petition is addressed to the CEO, key decision-makers and councilors, of the West Coast Regional Council, Westland District Council and Renew Energy Ltd itself, to ensure plans for a waste incineration project are not advanced further. By signing this petition you will be adding your voice to our opposition to a plant being located in Westland District.
