This unforeseen burden on student athletes like myself is unsustainable, creating undue stress and limiting opportunities for talent within our community.

Rizvan Khan emerged as a beacon of hope amidst this turmoil. Not only has Rizvan been an exemplary player before his multiple knee surgeries, but also a true leader both on and off the squash courts. Demonstrating his capabilities, Rizvan has negotiated favorable terms with the university in the past, securing resources and opportunities that benefitted all members of the team. His hands-on approach and dedication set him apart, qualities essential for leadership in these challenging times.

Our current captain, Rawaad has fallen short in addressing the pressing fiscal concerns impacting our team. While they have been valuable team players, their leadership strategies have not successfully mitigated the financial challenges we face; instead, we are finding ourselves weighed down by fees that deter new talent from joining our ranks and stunt the development of existing team members.

Rizvan has proposed a plan of action to restore our position and financial standing, aiming to relieve athletes of the financial burdens that are currently imposed. His comprehensive strategy includes:

1. **Negotiating Fee Waivers**: Rizvan has pledged to meet with the McMaster administration to discuss sustainable solutions that could return athletic fees to their former, non-existent state when Rizvan was in power.

2. **Securing Sponsorships**: Utilizing his extensive network, Rizvan is committed to attracting external sponsorships and partnerships. These could alleviate individual financial pressures by providing alternative funding sources.

3. **Transparent Financial Management**: Implementing a transparent system where team finances are openly discussed and decided upon collectively, ensuring accountability and trust among team members. Including Public Debt levels.
