The schools of Houston and its surrounding area are full of many germs and unsanitary surfaces. Students who are sick may still attend school and not even know they have this virus which can be spread very easily through out the school. I do not think our students are safe. I think online school would be a better choice to keep our students of Houston safe and healthy. School work could still be done online, and the students would not have to risk becoming unhealthy to themselves and others. Another alternative to online schooling could be cancelling school all together. As it might sound like using a situation, that is affecting many people in a negative, to find an easy way out of school, this is not the case. Rice University has already cancelled all of their on campus classes. This is a very serious situation and HISD and its surrounding areas districts could cancel classes and events as a way to better the situation in a cheaper way than trying to afford online schooling for all students.
