Did you know 75% of workplace assaults take place in a healthcare setting? The people that dedicate their lives to care for and help heal others are frequently abused. The abuse is both verbal and physical. Unfortunately, it often goes unreported or there are little to no consequences for the abuser. We need to step up and protect our health care workers. We need stricter penalties for this crime. We need to ensure there isnt any repercussions for reporting assaults to law enforcement. We need more security in health care settings.
