As a student I believe that IXL is a stressful program.  It is glitchy, it causes children to break computers and most children have after school activities. Plus homework on top of that, with all of their weekly plans how are they able to manage their time with family, friends, and fun? My teachers say IXL is a "gift" of a grade BUT they also give us homework and when we don't do all of the IXLs we receive a ZERO. How is that a gift when we are forced into it and when we don't do it we get something even worse? Now for the program itself. The SmartScore point system is glitchy, and frankly, nobody wants the stress of this website. If I get a question right, then my points go up, but if I get a question wrong (and I are more than 90% correct on all answers, then it takes AWAY MANY points in one fell swoop (I get bumped all the way down to 82%). It is very frustrating to have to answer all the questions that I already understand and get back to where I originally was.
