The Port Arthur Massacre is still shrouded in secrecy. Why? We want a Coronial Inquiry NOW

The issue

On Sunday 28th April, 1996, 35 people were killed and 23 were wounded in Port Arthur Tasmania, Australia. The suspect, Martin Bryant pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life imprisonment. No Coronial Inquest has ever been held. On December 15 and 16, 2014 three people died during a siege of the Lindt Café in Sydney Australia. A Coronial Inquest got under way on May 25, 2015. All records from the Port Arthur tragedy have been sealed. WHY THE SECRECY?

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to remove the cloak of secrecy with the Port Arthur tragedy by conducting a Coronial Inquiry forthwith. The 58 victims of Port Arthur deserve the same respect as the two victims and one gunman who died in the Lindt Café Siege. WHY THE SECRECY?
