Hi all 

As you all know from this September 2022, Havering council are trialing the new school street scheme! 
This means that from 8-9am and between 3.30pm and 4.30pm you can NOT drive down most of the roads next to Harold Wood primary school and also Redden Court senior school. 

The council have said this is for the well-being of the children and also to keep the Pollution down from around this area.

As a working mum of two, I find this unrealistic and also a waste of time. 
Most mums and dads in the morning have a very short time window of which to get the kids to school/nursery before setting off to work themselves. 
So now having to walk from home or park down a street a lot further away just isn’t going to work. 

Also this is also forgetting that most working family’s have someone else picking their children up in the afternoons!

Myself I normally rely on both mum and mother in law to help with pick up. Both the mums have had recent surgery for replacement hips/knees. And now we have to ask them to walk even further away and maybe in the rain to help us out even more.

All of this is made 1000 times worse when we had in the great British weather! 

We have to try and let the council know how much this is going to affect the whole area and it is only going to make life so much harder.

Please help us all stop this silly Trial
