Students in schools all over the country are being mistreated for having a stammer, as their teacher does not know enough about it to offer effective support. From being bullied by the teacher to facing a worse punishment, these behaviours are having the opposite effect that someone with a stammer should experience, especially within a learning environment.
This must stop.

By introducing and incorporating compulsory education on stammering (e.g. what stammering is, how it manifests itself and the psychology effects it may have on an individual) for trainee teachers and on staff training days, students at school will be fully equipped with the knowledge needed to ensure that those in school who have a stammer will be able to flourish academically and personally without intentional or unintentional mistreatment.
