Stop Big Oil and Wall Street from Collusion and Manipulating.

The Issue

The price of oil has a trickle down effect on prices of almost every purchase we make, driving up the cost on everything.

More drilling and giving in to Big Oil will not bring down prices at the pump. It will only make them that much wealthier and powerful.

The Keystone XL pipeline will not lower gas prices. It will not put many Americans to work. It will not enhance America’s energy security. Building the pipeline will supply Gulf Coast refiners including the Saudi-owned Motiva with oil for export. It will line the pockets of the oil industry with even more profits. And it will continue our nation’s dangerous dependence on oil.

What options do we have to defend ourselves from paying outrageous, unjustified prices at the pump?

We can walk or ride a bicycle, but sometimes we need to stand up when something is really wrong.

It is quite obvious that Wall Street and Big Oil are the only ones benefitting from this unjust run up in pricing.

Sure gasoline is high priced in Europe but they use the taxes on fuel for High Speed Trains and Mass Transit. The price we are currently paying is going straight to profits. No High Speed Trains here and Mass Transit has no substantial resources for funding.

While running errands in Illinois Northwest Suburbs today, I observed several service stations with the same price posted for regular unleaded gasoline at $4.49.  I find that amazing, I have never experienced that in all my life time, stations would always differ by a penny or two.

Even with the current inflated price for a barrel  of oil at $106.00 right now,  it does not warrant this pricing at the pump.

Are there any laws that prohibit business’s and corporations from exhibiting this kind of behavior of collusion and manipulation?

Is there no one in Government office that will stand up to these crooks and look out for the interest and welfare of the 99%?
