Amelia Earhart Continuation High School is a remarkable school filled with a  superb, loving, selfless and creative staff who put heart and soul into the "gifted" and "at risk" kids who attend.

The school is in an economically challenged section of north Los Angeles County and its presence is sorely needed to help serve this community. The success rate in graduating these “at risk” kids at Amelia is high, and the mentoring put forth by the teachers, volunteers, and outside non-profit support groups  is commendable.

Please bring this issue to the forefront of these educators immediately, as the school administrators were recently notified that Amelia Earhart Continuation High School is scheduled for closure at the end of June 2012.

Please help us bring this issue to public awareness in LA County so Amelia Earhart Continuation High School can continue to serve kids in need within our community. Thank you for your consideration and help.
