Since 1916, the Deer Lodge Hospital has been a Health Care Facility . Deer Lodge is currently a 418 bed rehabilitation facility . The Movement Disorder Facility at 200 Woodlawn has been in operation since 2006. The walk from Overdale and Portage is difficult for many people especially in poor weather. We are calling for an additional stop for the Blue Portage Avenue Buses at the EXISTING  bus stop in front of the Deer Lodge at 2109 Portage. This will enable transit users from along Pembina Highway, the Downtown, West End and East St. James to access Deer Lodge without having to transfer buses. This change will not really cost the transit any money . This additional stop  will likely  increase in ridership on the Blue Line Buses.
