Build a splash pad for the children of Strongsville and surrounding communities

Build a splash pad for the children of Strongsville and surrounding communities
The Issue
A splash pad/park is a safe, fun and low cost attraction for children during the summer months. Multiple cities around Strongsville including Olmsted Falls, Medina, and Broadview Heights provide this amenity to their citizens. Strongsville, with a large base of young families deserves the same.
Our city has no outdoor pool at this time, and no where for families to cool off outside on warm summer days. A splash park would therefore be a perfect fit for our community. It can be built at significantly lower cost than a pool, be built for children of all abilities while easily conforming to ADA standards, requires no lifeguard on duty, and water can be reused via a recirculation system.
As taxpayers of this city, we see our dollars being allocated to numerous other areas, not all which directly benefit children and families. We strongly feel that now is the time to allocate the funds to invest in our city, to invest in our children and the hard working families who put down roots in this great community.
