On the 14th of May, 2022, a Christian lady was murdered in Sokoto extrajudicially by a mob. She was accused of blasphemy against the prophet in Islam. There was an uproar on social media about how she was killed and it didn't take long before elites from the Northern region of Nigeria started defending the act of terror. One of such elites is  Captain Abubakar Jamil.  A pilot from the North in Nigeria. We cannot continue to live in fear in Nigeria. If people can be killed without recourse to the law and people who are elites like Abubakar Jamil can support the act of terror, his can ordinary citizens feel safe?
