Furthermore, data privacy issues have seen an alarming rise globally, and this extends to how student data may be stored and handled by such systems. Sensitive information requires significant safeguards and clear policies that adhere to Canada's Privacy Act. The right to privacy is a fundamental aspect of a child's education and development. Therefore, we, parents, teachers, and concerned citizens, implore the Canadian Board of Education to review the use of GoGuardian in our schools and explore alternative measures to uphold our children's safety and privacy.
