As a resident and routine commuter in Kuala Lumpur, the implementation of the trial bus lane on Jalan Klang Lama and Jalan Puchong has noticeably increased many motorists travel time. Many others share the same concern, noticing a significant change in their daily routines and schedules. Since the trial started, traffic congestion has worsened, creating unnecessary delays and negatively affecting our lives.

Based on government projections, the lane was supposed to improve transportation methods and enhance route efficiency, but in practice, it seems to have made conditions worse. Throughout peak hours, the full capacity of lanes is not being utilised, leaving other motorists in prolonged gridlocks.

This personal experience is not isolated. Unofficial surveys and public sentiment reflect the same narrative: The trial bus lane has been more of an inconvenience than a solution.

Considering the impact on the daily lives of thousands of motorists and residents in Kuala Lumpur, we must appeal to the authorities to reconsider the decision. We request the immediate termination of the aforementioned bus lane.

We cherish the intention to improve public transportation and to make our city more sustainable. Yet, any such initiative must not be at the undue expense of the residents' daily routines and impede their freedom of movement.
