The Issue

The practice of aerial hunting, in which hunters track and kill wildlife from aircraft, is currently happening in Alaska. This harmful activity has seen a significant boost in recent years due to financial support from Texas. Alaskan wildlife, including wolves and bears, is under constant, high-intensity pressure from these cripplingly inhumane practices. Data from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game suggest that hundreds of animals are killed by aerial hunting every year, disrupting natural ecosystems and animal populations.

Not only does this practice lead to unnecessary animal suffering, but it also goes against traditional hunting ethics that emphasize fair chase and respect for life. Yet, this problematic practice is being bankrolled by contributions from Texas. Removing Texan funding can make a difference in reducing, and hopefully ending, aerial hunting. Urging Texans to cut financial aid for Alaskan Wildlife aerial hunting could push us closer to the preservation of our precious wildlife.

This situation demands swift action. We're calling on all residents of Texas to lobby their representatives and demand an end to this support. Our wildlife is not for sale, and it's certainly not for senseless eradication. Ending Texan support directly impacts the survival of these animals. Stand up for our wildlife.
