Tell YouTube to crack down on spambots and hackers!

The Issue

I love YouTube, but over the years... it's been getting plagued with spambots and hackers, and YT has done NOTHING about it. It's time to step up and tell them that YouTube NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. A few months ago, two of my fellow game show fans' YT channels got hacked. So, YouTube needs to crack down more on spambots and hackers. Tell YouTube that IT'S TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE, FOR THE BETTER. If we win, then we can all rest easy knowing that YouTube will be a better place to share videos.

Who is impacted?

Spambots and hackers on YouTube impact everyone who uses the platform. They can:

Spam comments and messages, making it difficult to find genuine content and conversations.
Promote scams and phishing attacks, putting people's personal information at risk.
Upload harmful content, such as malware and viruses, that can damage devices and steal data.
Disrupt live streams, making it difficult for creators to connect with their audience.

What is at stake?

If YouTube does not crack down on spambots and hackers, the platform will become increasingly unsafe and unusable. This will have a negative impact on creators, who will be less likely to use the platform, and on users, who will be less likely to visit the platform. In addition, the platform's reputation will suffer, which could lead to lost revenue.

Why is now the time to act?

The problem of spambots and hackers on YouTube is only getting worse. In 2022, there were over 8 billion spam comments on YouTube, and the number of spambots is expected to continue to grow. This makes it more important than ever for YouTube to take action to crack down on these harmful actors.

We call on YouTube to take immediate action to crack down on spambots and hackers. We believe that this is essential to protect the safety and security of the platform's users and creators.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Dylan Jones
