The SC state senate is currently reviewing a bill that would amend the current marriage licenses to have lines labeled only for a bride and groom. This is not only an outdated ideology, but also a complete insult to the LGBTQIA community. Most importantly, it is an act of inequality. During a campaign against Cunningham, McMaster has already stated that he believes marriage should be between a man and a woman. He also said he would support a state ban on gay marriage if the Supreme Court strikes down its landmark same-sex marriage ruling. SC needs to move forward. Tell your representatives to oppose this discriminatory bill.

A BILL TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY AMENDING SECTION 20-1-330, RELATING TO ISSUANCE OF MARRIAGE LICENSE CERTIFICATES, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR THE SIGNATURE OF THE BRIDE AND GROOM ON THE CERTIFICATE.
