This Cut Threatens ABA Providers Financially
ABA providers already operate within extremely tight financial margins while managing increasing operational costs and workforce shortages.

Providers are responsible for covering:

• Salaries for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
• Clinical oversight by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
• Ongoing staff training and supervision
• Insurance compliance and administrative requirements
• Facility expenses and technology
• Recruitment and retention efforts amid a national staffing shortage

A reduction to 80% reimbursement would place immense financial strain on providers and could force many organizations to shut down entirely. Smaller providers and community-based organizations would be especially vulnerable.
