Tell Doug Ford That Ontarians Want Local Markets.
The Issue
Markets are a lifeline for small businesses, entrepreneurs, artisans, and artists. They are essential to the building and maintaining of small businesses in Ontario. They service thousands of small businesses. Giving them access to reasonably priced spaces to sell, meet the community, and build their businesses. We want Doug Ford to mandate municipalities in Ontario to recognize markets as retail settings. That support and elevate small businesses. We want the municipalities to work with local markets to ensure they can continue to support small businesses during the COVID-19 situation and beyond. We want Doug Ford and the Province to step up and put action behind words and support Toronto's small business communities that rely on local markets for their livelihood and the well being of their families. Allow markets to run so Ontarians can support small businesses and put money back into the pockets of Ontarians.
