Yumika Parsley, the passionate owner and sole employee of Chopped Parsley, a beloved Japanese home-cooking restaurant in Hamilton Heights, has been a dedicated fixture in our community for nearly a decade. Her restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it's a local sanctuary where the food is exceptional, the atmosphere is warm, and the carefully curated hip-hop playlists create a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The loss of Chopped Parsley would impact not just Yumika but the countless locals who rely on the restaurant as a space that nurtures community and culture.

If Yumika is forced to leave, the entire Hamilton Heights community will lose a cherished establishment that has contributed to the vibrancy of the neighborhood. Yumika has invested years of hard work and poured personal loans into Chopped Parsley, even renovating the space without outside funding. Her restaurant is an oasis that brings together food, culture, and music, offering a unique experience that can’t be replicated elsewhere.

Yumika was recently told she must vacate the premises by Brighton Management, despite a prior promise of a lease renewal. With only three months' notice, her future and the future of Chopped Parsley are now uncertain. This is a critical moment to show our support and ensure that Yumika’s business continues to thrive in Hamilton Heights. Immediate action can help keep this vital community hub alive and safeguard the unique character it brings to our neighborhood.

Running a restaurant alone is hard enough without a constant tug-of-war with building management. Tell Brighton Management and Witnick Real Estate Partners: Work with Yumika so Chopped Parsley can stay and serve our community!

Please sign this petition to stand with Yumika and help preserve Chopped Parsley at 500 W 146th St in Hamilton Heights.
