So should the City stop having Community Consulatations altogether ?

Someone from the City who was at the Open House 'Community Consultation' put it to an attendee, 'I don't know why we even bother to do these things still.'  She couldn't have been more accurate in describe the 'Community Consultation' on the night of November 20, 2025 pertaining to the Proposal that the City is trying to ram through the system at the intersection of Windermere and Queensway with 3 times the density of the City, and 17 times that of the neighbourhood.  The numbers don't lie, but others might!

The information push, was in a grade school basement that wasn't accessible.  It did not meet legal standards at the mandated City, Provincial, nor Federal levels!  But who is to notice? 

So despite no community input, far too many studies missing including a funding formula to pay for the 35 story 'mixed us' high rise on top of a shopping plaza (land which was supposed to be dedicated to housing), mandatory environmental studies (methane gas emissions above legal standards), , and how to service the density if it gets built, (schools, daycare, recreation and health),  the Councillor wants the rest of the elected officials and the Mayor to support this.  DO you want this to be the norm in our City?

The City will vote on whether or not to defer the rezoning required to build the  Proposal, as we have asked for, which would be logical so that relevant studies, reports and meaningful consultations take place, or they'll ignore legislation.   Which Toronto do you prefer?
