Toronto is about to approve high rises in 3 days on land where their own scientists found lead at 30 times the safe limit for children, as well as unacceptable concentrations of mercury, methane and contaminated water!

108 families have been waiting since May 2022 to return home and SwanseaPark.ca gets them there much much faster, safely, and also cheaper - 2 years vs. 4, or more likely 5, and Toronto is ignoring it.
Premier Ford can stop this immediately by demanding the City produce the environmental record before a single shovel breaks ground and get people into the homes they deserve.

Dear Premier Ford,
Your government has championed cutting red tape to get people into homes faster, but TCHC is proposing to build on land at 21 Windermere Avenue where their own scientists found lead at 30 times the safe limit for children, without secured funding, and without the environmental assessment the federal government requires before they will back it — and the Ontario Land Tribunal deadline is Wednesday April 29 at 4:30 p.m. A faster, cheaper alternative exists that gets 108 displaced families home years sooner, costs less, and cuts through all of this red tape. Please direct your Ministers to file an appeal at the Ontario Land Tribunal before 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 29 and demand a proper review before children are put at risk.
