EDGE Program Termination

The EDGE program requires long hours of busy work that have no benefit for the project. The long hours of EDGE homework often take away from time that would be spent on field related subjects, or EDGE is neglected in order to spend time on classes that are major related resulting in a lower GPA. EDGE grading is also extremely harsh with little explanation of why points are docked. The EDGE program requires an unreasonable amount of pointless work and discussion that doesn't actually contribute effective experience to resumes. Every student at SUU is affected by this program and is required to complete three classes or 3 credits in the program.

The Edge program should be dissolved and employees moved to other areas of the University where their talents can be used more effectively. Dissolving the EDGE program could help lower the cost of tuition, help increase enrollment and make classes more relevant to the student's major or career goals.
