SUPPORT THE RACIAL REFORMATION  FOR WORLD PEACE AND UNITY

 

PETITION STATEMENT

We, the undersigned, support the public examination of racial classification systems, racial assumptions, and racial narratives through peaceful discussion, research, education, and public participation.

This petition supports the development of the Racial Reformation project and the establishment of the Black World Newspaper as a platform for public discussion, historical analysis, identity research, and community engagement.

The Racial Reformation project is built around a simple question:

If the Protestant Reformation challenged religious assumptions, can society also examine racial assumptions?

The project uses historical comparisons to explore questions concerning race, ethnicity, identity, classification systems, historical narratives, and human development.

 

The project encourages:

• Open discussion.
• Peaceful debate.
• Historical examination.
• Public education.
• Critical thinking.
• Independent inquiry.
• Community participation.

The project does not seek racial supremacy.

The project does not seek domination.

The project does not seek revenge.

The project seeks understanding.

The project seeks awakening.

The project seeks maturity.

The project seeks a society in which people are able to examine identity, history, race, ethnicity, culture, and human development openly and honestly.

 

 

We therefore call for:

Public recognition of the importance of race and ethnicity literacy.
Support for independent educational initiatives examining race, ethnicity, identity, and human development.
Support for the creation and growth of the Black World Newspaper as a platform for public education and discussion.
Encouragement of peaceful public dialogue concerning racial classifications, historical narratives, and identity systems.
Greater public access to information, research, historical materials, and educational resources relating to race and ethnicity.
Respect for freedom of thought, freedom of inquiry, and freedom of discussion concerning questions of identity and human development.
By signing this petition, supporters indicate their support for open inquiry, public education, peaceful discussion, and the continued development of the Racial Reformation project.
