"LET'S GET BACK INDIA TO OUR SACRED INDIAN COWS"

A movement started by a mother to provide healthy Indian Cow breed milk to her children has turned into a nationwide revolution to safeguard our desi cow breeds. Cows are the major source of natural farming and have always been an integral part of our culture making a significant contribution to our country's economy.

Having access to healthy desi cow milk (termed as Amrit) is the basic right of the children of our nation and the generations to come. Sadly, we are losing our breeds to artificial insemination of our Indian breed cows with exotic HF & Jersey breed semen which is leading to mass extinction of our desi cows and the so called hybrid cows cannot adopt to our climatic conditions. In the past few years, we hardly see any desi cows as most of them are crossed with HF & Jersey breeds. Knowing the importance of our Indian breed cows, foreign countries are rearing our desi breeds and reaping the benefits.

We Indians have acted after our National Animal Tiger was endangered. Let's not reach that stage where we loose our nation's heritage - our Desi Cow.

After continuous efforts of creating awareness to safeguard our Indian breed cows, Smt. Allola Divya Reddy has finally approached the Supreme Court of India to bring attention and make relevant changes in the breeding policies to stop artificial insemination of our Indian breed cows with exotic HF & Jersey breed semen. Supreme Court of India issued notices to Centre and States on the PIL filed by Smt. Allola Divya Reddy.
