For 12 years, I've watched our community in Preston, Weymouth struggle to find a place we can be proud of—until Kirstine &Dave Taylor took hold of the reins at The Bridge Inn. It quickly transformed into a hub of joy and unity, thanks in large part to its wonderful live music events. The pub's landlords have worked tirelessly to bring this iconic establishment back to life, hosting events and community projects that have helped knit our neighbourhood together.
Unfortunately, these gatherings are now in jeopardy. Due to complaints from a small minority, the future of live music at The Bridge Inn is uncertain. These events are not just about entertainment; they are the lifeblood of our community, encouraging social cohesion and offering a safe space for community members to gather and enjoy life. It's where we meet friends, make new ones, and contribute to the vibe that makes Preston such a fantastic place to live.
