Support the Ballygunner Loop Cycle Lane

Support the Ballygunner Loop Cycle Lane
The Issue
We are seeking your support for the Waterford Cycle Lane Connection Phase 1
Please sign our petition to get a cycle lane around the Ballygunner Loop (Figure 1). Show your support for a new cycle lane by signing our petition.
We want to link housing estates, businesses, shops, and schools with safe cycle routes to encourage and facilitate healthier lifestyle choices. This proposed cycle route will help to reduce the number of cars on the road, ensuring we have clean air and reduced emissions.
We want to connect the surrounding housing estates, (e.g. Ardkeen Village, Ballinakill, Ballinakill Downs, Bishopsfield, Blenheim Heights, Collins Avenue, Earlscourt, Grantstown Village, Maypark, Mount Pleasant, Mount William, Powerscout, Riverview, Rockmount, Williamstown Village, Viewmount, with local schools (e.g. Gaelscoil Phort Lairge, Gaelcholáiste Phort Láirge, St Mary’s National School), local clubs (e.g. Ballygunner GAA) and local businesses (e.g. Ardkeen Stores, Activate, Jigsaw Day Nursery, Waterford Credit Union, the Woodlands Hotel) and Waterford Hospital.
The next phase of the plan aims to increase the number of safe cycle routes including more housing estates, businesses, shops, and schools.
