We, the parents, students, and community members of our school, are petitioning to keep our school librarian, Miss Tiffany, in her current position. School libraries are an essential part of our children’s education, providing students with literacy support, research skills, a safe learning environment, and encouragement to develop a lifelong love of reading.

Miss Tiffany has made a meaningful impact on our students through her dedication, care, and commitment to education. Removing this position would negatively affect the quality of learning opportunities available to our children.

We are also asking the Lester B. Pearson School Board to allow individual schools and their communities greater flexibility in making decisions about budget priorities. We believe that school administrators, staff, and families understand the unique needs of their students best and should have a stronger voice in how school budgets are allocated to support student success.

Our children deserve access to strong educational resources, including a fully supported library program and the staff who make it possible. We respectfully ask the Lester B. Pearson School Board to reconsider any decision that would remove Miss Tiffany’s position and to work collaboratively with schools and families to prioritize educational needs within school budgets.
