The Issue

Unmanaged overflow parking in our neighborhood has led to congestion, reduced parking availability for residents, and an overall decline in neighborhood safety and livability. Parking spaces that should be meant for us, the residents, are often unavailable due to an influx of cars from outside visitors. The streets are more crowded than ever, and it's affecting our quality of life.

Living in a neighborhood should mean having a place where we feel secure, comfortable, and at peace. That's not possible when we constantly struggle to find parking near our homes or even feel unsafe due to increased trafficked areas. Residential areas are meant to be refuges, and that means prioritizing resident needs over transient visitors who are unfamiliar with our community.

This petition advocates for implementing a permit parking system, which would prioritize residents and provide us a fair way to manage parking. Statistics from similar communities that enforced permit parking show a 40% decrease in external traffic and a corresponding increase in available parking for residents. Such measures have proven to enhance safety and promote a more peaceful neighborhood environment.

Your voice and your support could be instrumental in effecting this positive change. We ask you to sign this petition, which will support a permit parking proposal to be sent to our neighborhood. Community-driven initiatives like this require extensive backing, as the city needs to witness our collective agreement on this matter.

Please sign to show your support for permit parking, and remember to include your address. We only need one response per household to ensure the city recognizes our unified stance. Together, we can take back our neighborhood and restore the comfort and safety it once held. Thank you for your support.
