Support Lukasz and Andrea Hill's Visa Appeal
The Issue
In 2022, at one of the Shearwater community events, I met Lukasz Hill, and his wife Andrea. While talking with them I learned that they had just moved here from Canada. Lukasz was here on a work visa. Over the years, Lukasz has been more than just a neighbor; he has become a true friend.
When I was starting my business Call of Doody-Brown Ops, Lukasz was paramount in guiding me through the process on how to start up a small business in Florida. In addition, he provided me with advice on how to make sure it was ready for the online world. Because of this, my company has grown year over year and it has become known here in St Johns County.
I learned that they were applying for a renewal to their immigration status here in America. I was devastated to learn that they were told their status was not renewed.
I believe that I can speak for some residents in our neighborhood, Shearwater, that the Hill family's departure will negatively impact our community. Both for the programs that they volunteer in and the businesses that Lukasz has helped.
The Hills have exemplified the virtues of hard work and community involvement. It would be a grave disservice to both them and our community to lose such valued members. We must stand together to support their appeal, highlighting their invaluable contributions and the sense of community they foster.
We call upon immigration authorities to reconsider their decision, taking into account the Hills' dedication to our community and its businesses. Let us unite in ensuring that people who truly embody the spirit of community and perseverance are given the opportunity to remain where their contributions are valued.
Please join us in supporting Lukasz and Andrea Hill by signing this petition. Together, let's ensure they can continue to contribute and thrive in the United States.
