Support Housing Stability for North Perth Family Shelley & Jack

Support Housing Stability for North Perth Family Shelley & Jack
The issue
My life has been a rollercoaster lately, and I am seeking your support to bring stability back to my family.
My mother bravely manages life with multiple physical and psychiatric challenges. Her world was turned upside down last year when my father Brett —her rock and primary support system—passed away.
Following his passing, my mother was forced to leave their long-time home in Dianella. With nowhere else to go, I took her in to live with me in North Perth. We have faced immense challenges, and just as we have begun to get back on our feet, we are at risk of being uprooted again.
I am also navigating my own psychiatric difficulties, and the uncertainty of our housing situation is taking a severe toll on my mother’s fragile health and my own mental well-being.
Our landlord has decided not to renew our lease, despite my history as a reliable, long-standing tenant. I have always endevoured to keep rental payments up to date and cared for the property as if it were my own. Finding a new home in the current market, given our family’s unique needs, is nearly impossible.
We are urging the property management at Arena Real Estate and the landlord to reconsider their decision and renew our lease. Allowing us to stay will provide us with the stability we desperately need and allow us to remain part of the North Perth and Coolbinia community where we have lived for 20 years.
Housing is about more than just a roof; it is about belonging and stability. Your signature can make a massive difference in helping us stay in our home. Please sign this petition to support keeping a vulnerable family in their community.
We ask the landlord and Arena Real Estate to offer a lease renewal.
