Support Funding Access for Maryland Homeschool Families

The Issue

Homeschooling is rapidly growing across the U.S. and multiple states like Maryland are not fully caught up. Families are choosing alternative education paths for their children and currently receive no access to the public funding structures that support it.

While public school students are funded through taxpayer dollars, homeschool families are required to fully fund curriculum, enrichment programs, tutoring, and educational resources out-of-pocket.

This creates a growing equity gap.

Helper of Mothers (HOMs) is the number one fastest growing homeschool admin everything! Advocating for the introduction of policies such as Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) in Maryland, which would allow families to access a portion of education funding to support their child’s learning.

Supporting homeschool families is not only equitable, but cost-effective for the state. So there's no excuses!

HOMs is urging Maryland legislators to explore and implement policies that reflect the evolving landscape of education and support all families in their educational choices and we need YOUR VOICE to stand with us to make this change happen now and for future generations!
