Currently child protective service workers are not adequately trained on developmental disabilities and cultural competency. This bill will require all child protective service workers to be trained on developmental disability awareness and sensitivity, cultural competency, sensitivity and impact bias. This will provide child protective service workers a foundation to better serve children and families.
