Support Appropriate Academic Placement for Easton
The Issue
Easton is an exceptionally gifted student whose academic abilities significantly exceed the Grade 3 curriculum. Despite his strengths, he is not being adequately challenged in his current placement, leading to boredom, frustration, and classroom disruptions.
Advancing Easton to Grade 4 would provide a more appropriate level of academic challenge, increased opportunities for intellectual growth, and stronger social connections with peers who share similar interests and abilities. With continued support in place, grade advancement would help him thrive while reducing the behavioral challenges that stem from a lack of meaningful engagement in the classroom.
This petition asks Golden Hills School Division to consider Grade 4 placement for Easton so that his educational environment better reflects his demonstrated abilities, learning needs, and long-term success.
