Support Andrew Haswell Green Riverfront Park

Support Andrew Haswell Green Riverfront Park
The Issue
In 2006, Community Board 8 unanimously approved a plan to design and landscape Andrew Haswell Green Park, located on the East River between East 59th and East 63rd Streets.
Our community's elected officials were able to supply the funds needed to complete the original plan to build the park. Unfortunately, last year this plan came to a halt when the engineers hired by the NYC Parks Department found that the pilings that support the park needed costly rehabilitation.
As part of their building project on East 73rd/74th Streets and the East River, CUNY-Hunter/MSK will make a generous contribution to support Andrew Haswell Green Park. This proposal could make this park a reality, but there is a very vocal group of Community Board 8 members that are speaking out against it.
Will the community reject the millions of dollars from CUNY/MSK to fund the building of the park?
With YOUR support we can save the Andrew Haswell Green Park!
