Google hangouts was a way to communicate from one online kid to another.  As many people are worried about getting Covid-19 they turned to do schooling online.  While online school has many advantages one of the biggest disadvantage is not being able to see your friends or communicate with your peers. 

Google hangouts did just that.  They helped kids communicate and even brought together some people who never knew each other.  Google hangouts played a big part in keeping kids mental health ok as they were able to communicate to peers and even some family members.

Banning google hangouts from schools will greatly decrease the mental health of many students.  Many people have chosen online school over regular school as they don't want to risk getting the virus.  So going and seeing your friends is obviously not going to work.  I am calling on the superintendent to unban google hangouts and help the kids make the best of the situation.
