Stop the NSHS Schedule Change Planned For 2022
The new NSHS Schedule plan set for 2022 will increase stress, workload while reducing efficiency and interest during school. 90 minute classes that meet thrice a week puts both students and teachers at major disadvantage. Neither group supports the change, proving even further that this plan will bring nothing but hardships for all those at NSHS. As a student with ADHD, the 90 minute class times sound nothing short of dreadful. I, as well as many of you, struggle to pay attention to schoolwork under our current system of three 55 minute classes with one 75 minute class, but with 3 90 minute classes, this would hurt much more than it would help. When we asked for a schedule change, we specifically requested a later start time. The NSHS administration defied us, and instead proposed a schedule that has drawn schoolwide criticism. No later start times and increasing the length of classes, while lowering the number of times they meet. No. Just, no.
