Petition for the class of 2021 of the SAHS to wear hair extensions/weave for grad pics

The Issue

The class of 2021 has had quite the year. We have basically been out of physical school since March of 2020 as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic. This has taken a severe toll on the mental health of multiple students who have :

  1. Been isolated for long periods of time.
  2. Haven't seen friends since school has closed.
  3. Those who just don't have the time to take care of themselves.

Being given permission by the principal and administrative staff to be allowed to wear hair extensions for our graduation pictures would make a difference by allowing us to feel even more confident and beautiful within ourselves. Seeing that last year's grad pics for the class of 2020 were taken during August after exams, we have been led to believe that the same trend will be exercised for us. Therefore making this idea even more achievable.

  • We are more than open to staying within the length range provided by the institution if permission is granted.
