It is evident that the higher education testing practices of the United States Educational System are antiquated, and we, the citizens of the United States of America should be able to voice our perspectives on those practices. The Scholastic Aptitude Test, known as the SAT, was created in 1926 and has been utilized since then. The overall question is why should a test that has not been altered to modern standards, nor reflects the present day student population determine our future and intelligence? From this day forward we are going to challenge the usage of the SAT and the continuance of standardized tests in the United States. We do not want a test score to determine our intelligence, intellect, diverse talents and capabilities. The SAT is economically challenging for low-income families, debilitating for those that are part of the neurodivergent spectrum, disparate for students of color, and non-representative of our overall abilities and knowledge.

We, the students, parents, and teachers of the United States can be the change. We ARE the change, and we will be the ones who determine our future, instead of the score of a standardized test.

Abolish The SAT. End The Practices of Standardized Tests.
