Homebush Theatre is a Historical Icon, built in 1925 against the Prohibition Era laws, it is the ONLY purpose built Entertainment Centre that has been built in the Strathfield area. 
It has seen many transformations over its time, with a Cinema and Theatre Restaurant, it once also housed a Skating rink!

This little Aussie Theatre, is a Cultural Icon being left to decay to be demolished, that’s not good enough...it should be Saved and resurrected, to be the Public Entertainment Venue that it was built to be & the local community is sorely lacking!

The Local Government and NSW Heritage Council, need to take action to assure that this piece of Australian Cultural History is not just preserved, but actually maintained with the love & respect our Aussie History deserves!

Currently owned by a private “Investor” the block has been let go derelict for 30 years, this once vibrant piece of Homebush & Strathfield’s Essence has been left for dead! There are plenty of other blocks on Parramatta road that could do with a hi-rise....this one is perfect for what it is The Homebush Theatre.
