Stop the Hutton Farm Rezone, Highway 95, Greenback, TN

The Issue

If you have previously signed a paper petition, your vote has already been counted— no need to sign again.  If you haven’t, we welcome you to sign here! Thank you for visiting this page!

We, the undersigned, are writing to express our strong opposition to the proposed rezoning of this land located on Highway 95, Greenback, TN, known as the Hutton Farm for a rock quarry. Such a decision would have significant negative impacts on our community, the environment, and the local economy.

The construction and operation of a rock quarry would result in increased traffic, noise, dust, and pollution. The potential for damage to roads and infrastructure is also a concern. These impacts would not only affect nearby residents but also visitors who come to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Furthermore, the quarry would have a significant impact on the local economy. It would negatively affect property values, tourism, and the livelihoods of those who rely on the area's natural resources. The environmental damage caused by the quarry could also lead to long-term economic costs.

We urge you to consider the negative impacts that rezoning this property for a rock quarry would have on our community and to reject the rezoning. Instead, we ask that you prioritize the preservation of our natural resources and the well-being of our community.  The time to move is now!

Thank you for your consideration.
