Petition for an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the  proposed TRACT Data Center project in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. 

We, the undersigned, reside or own property in a Minnesota county where the proposed action will be undertaken or in one or more adjoining counties, and request the preparation of an EAW for the TRACT Data Center project in Cannon Falls Minnesota, located in Dakota county. By signing this petition, we support the information and material evidence in the attached petition and believe that, because of the nature or location of the proposed project, there may be potential for significant environmental effects, including but not limited to:

1. Infiltration basins for wastewater from a data center that pose groundwater contamination risks. 
2. The proposed 43 million gallons per year of water usage by the data center could cause water deficits, affecting the many local shallow wells and potential conservation measures to Cannon Falls residents during these uncertain times of climate change and other challenges made to the aquifer with the proposed build of other data centers in the region.
3. Light pollution, during the construction phase and after, will cause an unnatural illumination of the night sky, affecting local wildlife and migrating birds and creating an environmental nuisance for the nearby neighborhoods, including the loss of the dark night skies for this small farming community.
4. Backup diesel generators are part of the proposed project plan and will produce significant air pollution, affecting our air quality with unknown long-term health effects.
5. Continuous, 24/7/365 low-frequency noise from the proposed 253 acre, hyperscale data center can potentially radiate out to a three mile radius causing health problems such as anxiety, headaches, and sleep disturbances for residents and livestock. 

 Statute requires the signatures of 100 individuals who reside or own property in a Minnesota county where the proposed action will be undertaken, or in one or more adjoining counties. An adjoining county MUST share a border with the county in which the proposed project is meant to take place. Name and address must be included.
