Crypto companies spent over $130 million influencing lawmakers to pass this bill, and it worked. The result? Legislation that prioritizes corporate profits over public protection. The GENIUS Act lacks essential consumer safeguards, hands too much power to private firms, and completely fails to address the real risk of political corruption.

It doesn’t include even basic anti-corruption rules—like banning sitting presidents and their families from issuing or profiting from stablecoins. That means people in power could get even richer from unregulated digital currencies while average Americans face the consequences of weak oversight.

We need stronger guardrails before Congress gives crypto its stamp of approval. That means real limits on political profiteering, tight consumer protections, and enforceable rules to prevent the next financial crisis—not another giveaway to a powerful industry.
