STOP THE DEPORTATION TO SAVE MY FAMILY

STOP THE DEPORTATION TO SAVE MY FAMILY
The Issue
My name is Vanessa and I have started this petition to stop the deportation of my husband, Guan W. J.
My husband came to Canada when he was 12 years old with his parent. He was included in the refugee claim as a minor dependent and the refugee claim was rejected. His father and mother got separated when he went to high school here. Guan lived with his mother and in the following years, his mother submitted a Pre-Removal Risk Assessment Application and also filed an application for permanent residence on Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds. The applications were rejected again. They were scheduled to be removed from Canada in 2019. At that time his mother did not show up for removal and left Guan. He was only 19 years old at the time. He did not know what to do as he left China for many years, and he had no connections or ties in China. He had no choice but to stay in Canada.
I met Guan 2 years ago, and we developed a romantic relationship. We married and now we have our own family with a little baby. He is taking good care of the baby and me, aiming to give our baby a complete family and for our baby to grow up with both parents love and present in all his life.
I am a citizen of Canada. We filed a spousal sponsorship application for permanent residency of Canada in September 2022. While the application is in process, my husband has been called in by CBSA recently and has been told to leave Canada on February 8, 2023. We have been told by the CBSA officer right away that Guan is not allowed for Deferral requests due to his previous history. Guan has no criminal record and he was just an innocent youth by that time, I believe he should deserve a chance for re-assessment base on his current situation.
Our baby was born underweight and was small for his gestational age. He gets sick very often. The doctor said our baby appeared to have hemi-hypertrohy. We have been to different hospitals to do blood work tests, genetic studies, and Ultrasound screening; We have been scheduled to meet with a genetic counselor for further investigation. We brought our baby to see the physiotherapist. He is currently under helmet treatment in hopes to improve his presentation. This is the most critical time that my baby needs the father stay together to support and enhance his emotional, mental, and social well-being and development.
We will also suffer financial hardship if my husband is deported from Canada. My husband is the only one to look after our baby when I go to work. Otherwise, we will not be able to pay rent and raise the child, which may even lead to a worse situation for my family.
I am unable to raise the baby on my own and worry that my baby's medical treatments will be delayed if his father is not around to help and support us; I am also worrying about how my husband Guan to survive by himself in a strange country with no family and friends if he been deported from Canada. We are so depressed and desperate now.
We are kindly requesting you to sign this petition asking the Canadian government Authorities to:
1. Defer his removal set on February 8, 2023
2. Expedite a review of our spousal sponsorship application for permanent residency of Canada
Thanks.
