Petition updateStop the College Board’s Adversity Scoring on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)Ways to improve your adversity score (part 1)—but not advised
L HVA, United States

I truly and sincerely hope that none of you will game the system to improve your children’s adversity score, but given how far some rich and famous are willing to game the existing college admissions process to get their children in, I would not be surprised at all if a few of them would do whatever is possible to improve their children’s adversity scores.  How hard is it for the rich to buy cheap real estate in a high crime area?  Even a few extra points in diversity score might be the difference between dream come true and dream shattered, for life.  Colleges can talk about their“holistic” admission process all they want, but at the end of the day, it is a binary decision—you are either admitted or not.  1 or 0.  Good luck.
