The CEO of the College Board has been busy making media appearances to defend adversity scoring.  There is no question that it has been a PR disaster.  Who is this David Coleman, the CEO of CB?  You got it right—he was the architect of “common core.”  Those of you whose children went through public schools with common core—I need not recount the horrors of creating a great amount of stress on our children while DEGRADING the quality of education.  3+6=8 is an acceptable answer as long as you can provide a reason to justify it???

The stakes have never been higher in today’s global competition for technological supremacy.  The stakes are even higher than the Sputnik era of 1957.  This technological competition in the age of AI will determine whether our nation will remain a world power or be relegated to a Third World vassal state.  We must make sure that our universities admit the best and brightest.  A student’s race, ethnicity, or economic background has absolutely no relevance to his/her potential for success in STEM.
