It was publicly announced yesterday that Southfield School will be closing due to the falling pupil numbers.
This will greatly affect our children, our local community and the future education of our children.  Cramming our kids into already full schools will hugely affect their learning.  
Southfield school has made a massive turn around with the new head master Mr Green.  Due to the awful previous head teacher, the school went into decline resulting in many pupils leaving.  Previous to this Southfield flourished under great management.  Now the school is picking up greatly, rather than help, support and make it great once more the council have decided to close the school completely.

This makes no sense with a growing population around the area, local schools are already full with waiting lists and houses being built at a rate of knots.

We need a proper explanation.  I would guess that the schools location is desirable for housing development? 
We need to act now as the current plan is to close by July 2024.
