I love Helldivers 2, and like many others, I am disappointed by the unnecessary requirement imposed by SONY to link a Playstation Network account with our Steam accounts. This practice not only infringes upon our freedom as players but also puts us at risk due to potential security issues associated with these additional accounts.

The gaming industry is vast, with over 1.3 billion PC gamers worldwide (Statista, 2020). Many of us choose to play on this platform for its flexibility and independence. Forcing us into creating additional accounts that we neither need nor want is an affront to this independence.

Moreover, indie developers are often caught in the crossfire of such corporate decisions. They are forced into agreements that may not be in their best interest or that of their player base. It's time we stand up against such practices.

We urge SONY to reconsider this decision and respect the autonomy of both players and indie developers alike. Sign this petition if you believe in a free and fair gaming environment for all!
