San Diego’s beach bonfire pits are part of the city’s culture, community, and coastline experience. For generations, locals and visitors alike have gathered around them with friends and family to enjoy our beaches responsibly.

The City of San Diego should stop removing public bonfire pits and begin reinstalling pits that have already been removed. These spaces are affordable, accessible gathering places that make San Diego unique.
